Just finished part two and I have been telling every horror fan I know that even remotely knows how to read to start them. Love the series so far

when I was a small child my introduction to horror was Goosebumps when I was 11 I was introduced to It by Stephen King and from that I discovered Lovecraft who is still my favorite author

Hey hey! Had my pre-orders in for Clown 3 and Bound in Blood already - Influencer was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the audio treatment alone but I'm happy to have a physical media copy of it too. I'm out here in Norway so I'm never going to get to a talk/signing (Paul Tremblay *and* Clay McLeod Chapman - wow!) 😊 (Huge Kim Newman fan - I'm old enough to have been a follower of his Video Dungeon column in Empire Magazine from the start)

My first horror book was Edgar Allen Poe picture book my mom bought for me as a little child. I couldn’t even read anything that complex yet, but I was fascinated by the artwork. I had an interesting childhood.

I had never read horror until I picked up Pet Sematary earlier this year. That book blew me away and I've been on a bit of a horror binge ever since.

It felt to me too as reminiscent of his early Greek films. You can see his sinister leanings against family, procreation, traditional religion. "Marriage, Church and family ties/Evils in which the Old World lies".

Pen Pal got me into other horror then Stephen King which I was looking for some time, trying Koontz and Barker and being disappointed. Silverberg's Dying Inside and The Inside World got me back into SF after decades of absence.

Almost impossible to believe those are not model, animated ants. If they aren't , the movie gets 5 stars for that alone . I'm sure some of them must be special effects. Been a fan of this film since DAY 1.

Richard Laymon was the writer that got me into books seriously. At a young teen, his stuff was reminiscent of the kinds of B horror movies I grew up on. It became an elevated way to experience the same content. I consider myself "a reader" over 30 years later, and that's thanks to Laymon. The Stake was my entry into his world.

I only saw beyond the door 2. It was more ackward and cring the scary. I’d heard great things from people who did see the first one. I remember the kids saying who are you with a throaty pitch every day for weeks
